Cambria's summer job

Cambria got a job working for the Utah DNR at Bullfrog, Lake Powell, over the summer. She left the day after her graduation and we only saw her a few times after that until she finished up and came home in October. Her official title was Aquatic Invasive Species Technician. Sounds pretty fancy, doesn't it? But what she did was sit in a parking lot all day and check the boats leaving the Lake for the dreaded Cuaga mussel. They had to tag the boats as being inspected. It was a hot and boring job but the pay was good and made it worth it I guess. Her high school buddy, Mary, went and worked with her until she left to go to school. I don't think it was as fun once Mary left. I didn't like the fact that she was there alone and was very happy when she came home.

I think it was definitely as adventure for her. She met some very interesting people and had to stand on her own two feet. I hope that overall, it was a good experience.

Curtis and I drove down to take her back to work after our Welch Reunion. I took these pictures of her at her housing unit, (which is provided) and at work.

In her cute pink work vest in front of her house.

Back at work with her co-workers

So hot in the parking lot. Ugh!

The road to Bullfrog is long but beautiful. This is crossing the Colorado river on the way.
It became Curtis's favorite drive...

These are some pictures Cambria took while living in Bullfrog.
