It was fun to have Ford, Shiala and Kami with us this year for the 24th of July, as well as Stacy's family and Wendy's. We all congregated at our normal spot on the north side of Wells Fargo Bank where there is a bit of shade. There we enjoyed watching the parade, and especially the kids, as they played and watched, cheered and collected candy. Nothing like a small town parade for candy-collecting! And of course, we spent some time in the park at the carnival, spending way too much on junk food and toys, but that's the fun of it all. I really enjoyed my cinnamon pecans!

Kami looks happy to have a piece of candy. It was new experience for her to have it thrown at her... |

The boys like watching the tractors and emergency vehicles. I avoid the fire-engine
all it took was one year of being sprayed in the face and that did it for me! |

Cambria and Mary came up and were paid a work day for riding in a boat for the UDNR. Raising awareness of the Cuaga mussel problem in the lakes…"STD of the sea" Lovely. |
How blessed we are for the faith of the pioneers who first entered the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847. Our lives would be very different had they never come to Utah. I'm glad that Monticello celebrates the 24th!!
